FLUORIDATION & FRAUD by DR. ROBERT CARTON. 

Dr. Carton is an environmental scientist who worked at the Headquarters of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 1972-1992. He is currently the environmental coordinator for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, Ft. Detrick, Maryland. 
Dr. Carton has experience in evaluating chemical risks to human health and the environment. He worked in the EPA, Office of Toxic Substances for 15years years evaluating risks from high priority chemicals ­ including asbestos, arsenic, and hexachlorobenzene. While working for the U.S. EPA, he also wrote national wastewater control regulations for three industries ­ asbestos, glass, grain milling and developed guidelines for environmental assessments of wastewater discharges from a number of industries. 
In 1980, Dr. Carton helped organise the union of professionals at EPA and was twice elected president of that union. In 1985, as a union official, he became aware of the fraudulent nature of the EPA standard for fluoride in drinking water, and fought for seven years to expose it. In 1987, he led the union attempt to file an amicus brief in the court case brought by the Natural Resources Defense Council against the EPA challenging the standard for fluoride in drinking water. In 1998, he explained how EPA had committed scientific fraud on the fluoride standard at the annual meeting of the National Association of Environmental Professionals held in San Diego, California. 
In his presentation, Dr. Robert Carton will highlight his experiences of “Fluoridation and Fraud” in the U.S. He will also discuss the risks of fluoride in drinking water for human health and the environment.
